

Sexual Assault Response Team
In partnership with the Crime Victims Treatment Center (CVTC), the Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center is able to provide emergency medical services to sexual assault survivors.

Our Team
The Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) is comprised of on-call SAFE examiners, CVTC rape crisis advocates, physicians and nursing staff, are dedicated to the safety of our patients and providing the highest level of care.

New York State Department of Health Sexual Assault Victim Bill of Rights
Pursuant to Public Health Law §2805-i(6), the New York State Department of Health
developed the “New York State Sexual Assault Victim Bill of Rights” (VBORs).
The VBORs is a list of information about the legal rights for all victims of sexual assault
in general, in a hospital emergency department, and with law enforcement.
